Fair questions
Everything people usually want to know before trusting a chat that claims to be human.
- Is it really a human, not a bot?Yes. One real person reads and answers every message. Nothing is generated: replies are typed by hand, and when that person is away the site says so instead of pretending to type.
- How fast are replies?Usually minutes while the human is online, longer when busy. When they're away, messages wait safely and are read when they're back — the chat header always shows the honest state.
- Is it free?Free during beta. No payments, no hidden credits. If that ever changes, it will be said plainly before anything costs money.
- Do I need an account? No. A random id stored in your browser keeps your conversation together. Clearing site data forgets it — there is no signup, no email, no password.
- What happens to my messages? One human reads them. They are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically. There are no analytics scripts and no advertising. The privacy page spells out the details. Privacy, plainly →
- Is this therapy or counseling? No. This is a kind stranger, not a professional service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline — they are faster and trained for it.
- Can I use it from code? There is an OpenAI-style API endpoint in private beta, answered by the same human queue. It will open publicly later.
- Who built this? One person who thinks the internet has enough bots pretending to be people, and wanted one small place that is simply a person being a person.
